Week 2 class

For week 2 our class visited the SPCA. We will be using them as our client for the animation and had the opportunity to walk around the facility, ask the staff some questions and check out all the cute animals.

We were told that the SPCA would prefer if we utilise the phrase 'You don't have to adopt me to help me' (see in photo below) in our animation and base our themes around any of the following:

• Educating people on how to take care of their animals
• SPCA relies on donations (food, money, etc) from the public, even to pay for lawyers for court cases involving animals
• Importance of bonding with the animal - socialisation
• SNAP - spay and neuter all pets & TNR -trap and neuter and return to community
• Microchipping pets
• Foster care for pets until they are healthy/ready to socialise with others

While at the SPCA I also took some photos of the animals, I was still undecided completely on the animal I was going to do so I took a variety but ended up picking a cat as the final choice even though the puppies there were very cute...
