This is a good in-depth video regarding the construction and destruction of the monument, including the overall history.
It is derived from a Bulgarian TV documentary where the narrator accompanies the monument's architect (Georgi Stoilov) to the monument as he reminisces about his creation. From this video the viewer gets a good sense of the materials used to build it and the chronological order of events effecting the monument's existence.
I feel this video can help me design the story board better as it shows the space around the monument and montages of its history which I could use in my animation.
